We want children to feel excited about coming to school each day—and leave us ready for their next stage with a strong foundation in both learning and life skills.

Intent
Our curriculum is designed with clear intent: to provide a rich, inclusive and ambitious education that builds knowledge, skills and character.
Everything we do is connected by a golden thread—our belief that strong relationships, emotional wellbeing, and a sense of belonging are the foundation for all learning. This thread runs through every year group and every subject, helping children build not just knowledge and skills, but also the confidence and character to succeed.
Across every year group, we nurture children’s natural curiosity while laying strong foundations in reading, writing, maths, and the wider curriculum. Carefully chosen key texts, memorable learning experiences and a values-driven ethos help children make sense of the world and their place within it, while developing the personal qualities they need to flourish.
Implementation
From the moment children join Cygnets, they are welcomed into a caring and stimulating environment where learning is playful, purposeful and tailored to their needs. In early years, learning is play-based and hands-on. As children grow, learning becomes more structured—but still active, engaging and meaningful.
Our curriculum is enhanced through:
- Emotionally rich stories and themes that deepen understanding
- Outdoor learning and real-life experiences that bring the curriculum to life
