Safe and Active Schools Award
At our school, we are passionate about helping children travel to school in ways that are safe, healthy, and good for the environment.

Why Active Travel Matters
Walking, scooting, cycling or wheeling to school helps children to:
- Stay active and healthy
- Arrive at school feeling ready to learn
- Develop independence and road safety awareness
- Reduce traffic and improve air quality around school
For longer journeys, choosing public transport wherever possible is a great way to reduce congestion and help protect our environment.

Learning with Warwick the Bear

We are supported in our road safety learning by Warwick the Bear, who you’ll often see on our school fence!
He helps remind us how to cross roads safely and make sensible choices when travelling to and from school.
Our Achievements
We are incredibly proud to have achieved the Gold Award last year — and this year, we’re aiming even higher as we work towards Platinum!
Tracking Our Travel
Each class takes part in the Living Streets WOW Travel Tracker,
where pupils record how they travel to school each day.
- Children earn badges made from recycled materials each month
- We celebrate our success through class leaderboards
- Every journey counts towards making a difference!
